Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Handld ("I", "me", "Handld") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.
Who I am
Handld is a sole-operator business based in New Zealand, run by Andrew, providing website, app, automation and AI development services. You can contact me at handldco@gmail.com.
What I collect
When you use the enquiry form on this site, I collect the information you choose to give me:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your business name (optional)
- The message you send about your project
The site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Basic technical information (such as your country) may be handled by my hosting provider as part of delivering the site securely.
Why I collect it
I use your information for one purpose: to read and reply to your enquiry. I do not use it for marketing, and I do not sell or share it with anyone for their own use.
How it's stored — and overseas providers
Because I use trusted third-party tools to run this site, your enquiry passes through and may be stored on servers outside New Zealand:
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and processes the form submission (United States and global network).
- Resend — delivers the enquiry to my email inbox (United States).
- Google (Gmail) — where I receive and reply to your enquiry.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, I take reasonable steps to ensure information disclosed to overseas providers is subject to comparable privacy safeguards. These providers are established services with their own privacy protections.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to ask me to correct it, and to ask me to delete it. Email handldco@gmail.com and I'll respond within a reasonable time.
Security
I take reasonable care to protect your information, including using reputable providers and secure connections. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but I treat your details as I'd want mine treated.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how I've handled your information, contact me first. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Changes
I may update this policy as the business changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
